a N e u t r a l kind of feeling

[..I've had this Alex Wang jacket for less than a year, have worn it out maybe  a dozen times- it's now missing 50% of the buttons!! I'm gutted! Paying premium price for designer items obviously does not always buy you quality!]

I wish the weather was warmer.

…it’s definately not the best pic I’ve taken and one that I can’t say I’m terribly proud of. I can see many many flaws in this pic which annoys me greatly! However I did have a lot of fun taking this and will probably do a few more of these “underwater” pics when I have sufficient time to play around with.

In case you havn’t already realised, I’m not actually underwater.
The pic is of me jumping off my bed (as you do!) . Then I added one of Hannah Katarski beautiful free water textures to it.

In many ways, this cold weather is making me feel v e r y uninspired!

BLUE + t a n

Winter usually throws my emotions all out of whack, I tend to blame my abhorrent moodiness on the cold weather. However today I’m in a good mood- for no apparent reason really. And when I’m in a good mood, all I want to do is shop!

I have a few items in mind, which I think will go well with my existing winter wardrobe:

-rich caramel colored wool coat
-round collar cashmere navy blue sweater

-beige suede short ankle boots
-tan leather oxfords (I really like the shape and simplicity of the pair on Urban Outfitters, however it’s not leather! BOO!)
-black cashmere wrap/scarf

…now, the hard part..
…trying to find exactly what I’m picturing in my head!!

*I re-edited these pics.  It was really frustrating for me to see just how over processed the previous ones were.*

Ahhh Sunday. It’s my favorite day of the week. Sundays usually comprises of a lot of walking around with our cameras in tow. We walk for hours, sometimes sitting to rest in between and to do a bit of people-watching, then it’s back up on our feet until our legs give in. Either that or when the contents of our conversation slowly stray away from photography jargon…and onto mouth-watering decriptions of what shall we eat for dinner tonight?

Photography and eating good food are the two loves of my life!

Underneath your clothes..

It is crucial for every one of us to find their innerself. To understand yourself , to take what you know about yourself and develope that into something you can be proud of. Embracing in self belief can lead to extremely dignifying life experiences. It’s so easy to blindly mirror and attempt to walk in the foot steps of others you only wish to be however without knowing what you want, your innerself will be forever lost in other peoples’ shadow.

This post is alittle apropos of nothing really. I just felt compelled to note down these words.

-my favorites- M a k e u p

I should be sleeping, I’m physically drained out but mentally wide awake! For some time now, I’ve been thinking and working on the idea of taking a series of pics (and/or making collages) under the title of  “m y  f a v o r i t e s” . I think it would be a fun way for me to document my most favorite things in the world- including materialistic items I simply can’t live without (like above-  took this pic at 2:30am! ) however not eliminating my other favourites- photos, paintings and people that inspire me most. I’ll see how it goes. My mind is always bouncing up new ideas- it’s hard to keep up with them all sometimes. I’ve resorted to writing out and scribbling rough pics in my moleskin to help keep track of the plethora of ideas floating in my head.

So without further ado- starting the My Favourites series with my fav M a k e u p staples.
and when it comes to makeup, I believe -whole heartedly- less and more.

This pic was taken by the boy, most likely out of frustration. He had been waiting patiently (at least the first 1.5hrs) for me to get ready for dinner. I can still hear him moaning “hurrrrrrry uppp!” whenever I see this pic! I look very much in my own little world because I actually was in my own little world —”ohhh! pretty nails” was all that I was thinking. How shameless!!

I’ve never been a fan of meat. I could happily munch on vegetables all day without uttering a single word of complaint. I’m not vegetarian however I dont get the tendencies of craving to eat meat. Meanwhile, on the other end of the scale is E, the boy, who craves for meat every single meal of the day. He just can’t get enough of it!

E had been craving for a good piece of Delmonico Steak for the longest time. I gave in to his constant slobbering-talk about his lust for a piece of juicy, succulent steak. We made our reservations at Chophouse prior making the trip to Sydney.

The food was sooo good! The meat in my order of beef ribs were sooo tender and succulent (making my mouth water just thinking about it!). E was also pleased that he finally got a good Delmonico fix however it wasn’t as tasty as the one we had at Bistecca in Hong Kong. That steak was phenomenal- this coming from a girl who doesn’t even like eating meat!
