The boy took this random pic of me at our-soon- to-be completed house. I’m hoping we can move in by the end of July. I refrain myself from saying this out loud in fear I may somehow jinx it!

Weekends consists of going to as many furniture and electrical good stores as we can possibily fit in. At this present moment, the desire for purchasing new clothes (or shoes for that matter) is surprisingly, no longer a constant lingering thought of mine anymore. Instead of Louboutin, Marant, Wang..all that’s going through my mind is now- Stark, Mies van der Rohe , Eames. I’ve also gathered enough home furnishing ideas to fill up a whole suitcase to the brim. Needless to say, I’ve neglected shopping for myself and replaced it with shopping for our house and it’s been quite an invigorating expirence so far!

Yep! I’ve found a new love- furniture shopping!

i looove furniture shopping too! can’t wait to see pics of the final place!!

sometime i think it’s kind of refreshing to get shoes/clothes out of your mind for a while. kind of lets you appreciate the better things in life, no?

  • It’s great to see a new post from you. I must admit that i love interior designing & all things shopping contemporary house furniture. I find the whole experience somehow more exciting than shopping for shoes or clothes (is that weird?)

p.s i do love those boots & your karen walker dress.

  • My dear friend, April, told me that once I moved into our house, I would no longer crave designer clothes and shoes, but that I would covet appliances and furniture etc.

I didn’t believe her. However, she was spot on.

Now I spend money on Bamix and Bunnings instead of Burberry, and Dyson vacuum cleaners instead of Diane Von Furstenberg. My how things have changed!
